At Incredible Edible we’re all about building connected communities – it’s what comes naturally from spinning the three plates And we connect in many different ways; with different people as well as with different groups and organisations.
As you build your core group members, you’re connecting people who maybe didn’t know each other before with a shared mission to keep your group going. As you start growing in your community, you connect with people walking past your plot, talking about food and growing. As you support learning, you bring together knowledge, skills and experience to share with others in your community. And as you engage with local food producers and businesses, you connect people together in a conversation about local food and a kinder prosperity.
You can’t be Incredible in isolation and building these community connections are key to your group thriving at the start and in the long term, as well as ensuring the activities you undertake fit with the needs of your local community.
So this section of the Toolshed gives advice and guidance the range of ways you can connect with your community and will be useful to you if you’re starting out, if you’re planning some new Incredible activities or if you’re looking to engage more people in your group and your work.
